Job Specifications/Qualifications
Three (3) years as a Laboratory Assistant in a clinical laboratory preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Provides for receipt and ordering of tests
- Receives and processes specimens from the nursing units according to departmental policies and procedures.
- Insures proper specimen collection and handling for requested procedures.
- Performs under supervision, waived procedures such as hCG and Strep Screen, Front End urinalysis (excluding microscopic exam), and microbiology culture initiation.
