Requisition Summary
This key position is located within the Advanced Technology group at the PACCAR Technical Center. Responsibilities include developing next generation telematics and connectivity functionality related to PACCAR’s SuperTruck 3 program and electrification initiatives.
Areas of focus include solving some of the challenges associated with the charging and fueling network infrastructure, and integration of cloud-based connectivity fleet services including the new powertrain technologies. Primary tasks include defining cloud architecture requirements and supporting implementation of data collection with fleet partners.

Division Information
The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Work with a highly functional group of technical experts, within and outside PACCAR that can facilitate a wide array of proof-of-concepts to allow a fair evaluation of the maturity level and readiness of new technologies.
Define cloud architecture requirements and reliable big data and analytics platform software and services.
Apply system engineering knowledge of electrical systems and components to design, implement, and validate truck systems and components.
Work closely with program partners to assist with integration of new technologies.
Expertise in cloud based fleet connectivity, telematics and big data.
Knowledge in Cellular, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth communication protocols.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies related to electrification and charging infrastructure developments.
Build cross-division and external connections to support development of the PACCAR vehicle and powertrain roadmap
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master (preferred) degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
5 or more years experience in managing advanced technology programs.
Demonstrated strong skills in working with cross divisional- and external organizations.
Demonstrated strong technical knowledge, analysis, communication, and leadership skills.
Quickly learn new technologies / understand complex systems.
Strong interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, and have demonstrated high levels of initiative and innovation.
