Association Marketing & Sales Specialist
An innovative, proven and growing trade association is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Marketing and Sales Associate. Duties will include marketing, membership, event and trade show sales.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate marketing programs for membership, association events and trade shows
- Develop field sales action plans and advertising to accomplish marketing and sales goals
- Research and capitalize on different marketing opportunities to improve profitability
- Engaging with active and inactive members, providing customer service to members, dealing with member records, keeping the association leaders aware of members’ concerns, etc.
- Identify prospective members, prospects and vendors, lead generation and conversion
- Contact new and existing members, prospects and vendors to discuss needs
- Conducts telephone inquiries/follow up calls/customer care calls
- Trade show sales of booth space to show participants and attracting new vendors
- Develop event-oriented pre-show promotions for two trade shows each year
- Assistance in coordinating the logistical aspects of the trade shows
- Provide regular updates to keep all clients abreast of upcoming events and deadlines
- Identify and investigate new trade show marketing opportunities based on company priorities and goals
- Anticipate new opportunities to maintain relationship with important clients
- May be required to assist with general office duties, mailings, organizing office, etc.
- Lifting of up to 25 lbs. required
- Required to attend all association events, some during the evening to assist with setup, execution and breakdown
- Some travel required
- Seek new and beneficial member benefit programs
- Assist in maintaining website with current information
- Write press releases
- Contribute to staff To-Do lists and agendas
Qualifications:
- Applicant must possess a passion for providing high quality member service and commitment to exceeding expectations
- Energetic, proactive, takes calculated risks, and perseveres to attain goals
- Professional sales training a plus
- Trade show experience a plus
- Previous marketing, sales and customer service experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Social media content creation and advertising knowledge necessary
