Job Summary:
The Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing (“EVP”) holds the top sales and marketing position at the publicly-traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (the “Company”) and its three key business verticals: Hall of Fame Village’s themed-based destination assets, Hall of Fame Village Media, and Hall of Fame Gaming. The EVP of Sales & Marketing is a leader in sales and marketing strategy, as well as someone who can oversee all aspects of revenue generation activities including but not limited to; partnerships/sponsorships, events and concerts, as well as booking and programming for all Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls venues: Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, Play Action Plaza, Sports Complex, Hotel, Water Park, Constellation Center for Excellence, Center for Performance, etc. This role employs deep national and regional community engagement to help customers and partners share in the growth and prosperity of one of the fastest-growing immersive experiential sports and entertainment companies in the United States.
Responsibilities include: strategic plan development and day-to-day planning, implementing, managing, and controlling of all sales, marketing, and brand oversight activities of the Company. This will include direct responsibility for client development and engagement, sales projections, revenue forecasting, and revenue budgeting as well as new product development and modeling. The individual must be an experienced and seasoned sports and entertainment marketing executive with the ability to manage diverse operations and apply consistent and sound financial and business practices with proven work in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The EVP of Sales & Marketing manages a team of sponsorships/partnerships sales and marketing professionals who oversee all aspects of sales and marketing operations and executions. This position reports directly to the President and CEO of Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in the development and execution of short- and long-term strategic marketing and revenue objectives.
  • Strategic development of sales and marketing for Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company, including: budgeting, forecasting, sales strategy, and new product development.
  • Maintain and continue to establish key relationships within the national sports marketing landscape, brands, agencies, media, ongoing trends and market research, customer needs/expectations, and measurements and metrics.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Drive new business development activity, to include: event development, sponsorship/partnership growth by category, evaluate new business verticals for company growth, support selection of key operational partners that will also generate revenue/sponsorship activity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing and Sales, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Skilled sales and marketing professional with 20(+) years of management experience, with progressively responsible leadership roles.
  • Proven partnership & collaboration capabilities.
  • Digital media knowledge and experience required.
  • 15-20(+) years of Sports and Entertainment Marketing Industry expertise.
  • PC proficiency is essential (Google and Microsoft environment).
  • Strong financial, P&L, and budgeting skills.
  • Able to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to present at all internal and external levels of stakeholders, including the company Board of Directors.
  • Experience working in a public company environment preferred.
  • Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio
