MSS has an immediate opportunity for an Area Sales and Marketing Director to support Wesley Meadows in Hernando, MS and Flowers Retirement Community in Clarksdale, MS. The Area Sales and Marketing Director will be responsible for ensuring future residents are provided with a full understanding of the comfort, care, and amenities offered. The Area Sales and Marketing Director should take time to learn about each prospect and determine if MSS can meet their needs by building relationships and communicating our “Resident First” philosophy. Methodist Senior Services is seeking an individual with sales experience or aptitude that is ready to use their talent and skills to better the lives of seniors and become part of a dedicated, mission-driven team.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Area Sales and Marketing Director is to consistently and successfully establish relationships with referral sources, elders and their loved ones in order to grow or maintain occupancy in their assigned communities.
The Area Sales and Marketing Director’s focus will be directed toward prospect management activities; including, initial appointments with new leads, discovering needs, establishing next steps that make sense to the prospect and becoming a resource for the qualified prospect all the way through to a scheduled move-in date
Demonstrate the initiative for outreach and referral source relationship development activities with the goal of educating community partners on mission, services and census availability.
In partnership with the executive director and senior sales and marketing director, analyze the census needs of each assigned MSS community by evaluating the number of leads necessary to generate the required number of admissions month to month to either achieve or maintain full occupancy.
Understand the length of time for the customer journey by care setting needs and evaluate the next steps required to move leads through the sales process by applying methods related to the most accurate stage of readiness.
Maintains accurate sales documentation within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for each active prospect complete with date/time, specific next step and most applicable stage of readiness classification.
Responsible for reporting monthly sales and outreach related activities, new leads, top prospects, census growth and resident attrition using the CRM tool and a Microsoft Excel-based document.
Assists with gathering information for an annual competitive market analysis (CMA) and gains a detailed understanding of the services in an assigned market.
Responsible for lead generation and re-engagement event planning and coordination as necessary throughout the fiscal year.
Skills/Requirements:
- This is a performance-based position, sales performance and census-building are the primary gauges of job performance.
- Two or more years of successful sales experience in the senior housing industry, real estate or property leasing preferred.
- Working knowledge of sales and marketing concepts to include principles and methods for promoting and selling products and/or services.
- Understanding of marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales systems.
- Working knowledge of personal computers and software including Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Must have the ability to work well under stress, complete assignments accurately, work independently, and manage time effectively.
- High degree of initiative and creativity, good judgment, and professional ethics.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop associates.
- Strong management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Shift/hours: Business hours with occasional evening and weekend availability to meet with families and prospects at optimal times.
- Minimum of Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time throughout Mississippi as required.
