Job Description
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of our Risk Solutions team to help design, enhance and build our transactional Fraud detection engine in an agile development environment. You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily. You will take leadership roles working on multiple projects building full stack development of Real Time transactional services, RESTful APIs and Container based distributed services that are highly available, secure, scalable and resilient. You will spearhead development of next generation software based on machine learning and deep learning. We believe in self-managing Agile teams who build products end to end focusing on unit testing, code reviews and continuous integration for excellent code quality. You will see the code written and moved to production within just a few days, to then be used by a huge customer base. You will be driving innovation that makes our products stand apart from our competitors and delight the customer with accelerated time-to-market delivery.

Essential Functions
- Design and build infrastructure and microservices that help index, mine, transform, and compose PB sized deep learning datasets.
- Lead and build scalable and distributed services that will help power the AI infrastructure for deep learning platforms.
- Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
- Design the next generation of dataset management services for real and synthetic/simulated datasets.
- Design high volume high throughput multi-tenant cloud ready distributed system at a scale.
- Enable smart data selection – one of the key ingredients for successful machine learning!
- Collaborate with multiple AI teams to understand their requirements and build a platform infrastructure that improves productivity.
- Be a technical leader on various projects across the platform and be a major contributor of the entire platform’s architecture.
- Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable coding and security standards.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
- Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner
- Coach and mentor junior engineers on the team and help get them unblocked.
- Troubleshoot Production Issues as needed by working closely with Product and Support Teams
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
10 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 8 -10 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (eg Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (eg Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD.
You have proven experience leading teams that have delivered high quality large scale enterprise class applications.
You are a Java expert experienced with REST APIs and container-based technologies. Strong on elegant coding, can write very solid prototypes or core components quickly.
Experience in UI technologies, JQuery/JavaScript standards including ES6, HTML5, CSS3 and CSS4, Redux, Riot.js and React.js, D3.
You have strong experience with Agile development incorporating TDD, CI/CD utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, JUnit, Mock frameworks.
Understand and own component security analysis, including code and data flow review. Collaborate with security team to implement and verify secure coding techniques.
While you’ll have the skill to see and understand the big picture, you’re able to stay focused on the task at hand to achieve immediate goals.
Solid technical foundation in distributed computing and storage, including significant experience with most of the following: server systems, storage, I/O, networking, and systems software.
Advanced programming skills to build distributed storage and compute systems, Back End services, microservices, and web technologies.
A specialist programmer in Go and/or C/C+
Proficient in implementing design patterns and hands on knowledge of Spring, hibernate, RDBMS and NoSQL Databases.
Good experience in Kafka, Cassandra, Spark, Flink, distributed cache.
Hands on experience on containers and orchestration platform such as docker, Kubernetes
Experience on cloud infrastructure and cost-effective platform such as AWS, AZURE.
Experience designingand buildingmulti-tenant data platform at scale.
Experience with deploying and running multi region application in active-active mode. Experience in microservices architecture and database shading of a large-scale project.
Experience developing large scale, enterprise class distributed system or subsystems that require high availability, low latency, & strong data consistency computing
Experience implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear & concise way, a team player with a strong work ethic
You have proven experience as a technical leader with ability to understand the requirements and independently, architect, design and build the solution.
You have the passion to work with people and help mentor your juniors to reach new heights.
Passion for Big Data and analytics in general leveraging technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Solr, MapReduce.
You have work and academic experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with programming languages, code quality initiatives, Scripting languages and operating systems.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 155,400.00 to 202,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
