Virtual IT is seeking an experienced IT professional to fill a System Administrator opening. This position is responsible for both reactive support, and proactive maintenance of a wide range of business IT systems.
Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will perform scheduled maintenance and monitoring of IT business desktops, servers, and network devices. They will also work directly with customers to provide timely support of all IT system issues. Specific job responsibilities include:
- Assists other IT staff in resolving incoming user issues.
- Reviews daily monitoring reports of network health.
- Proactively resolves issues with network and server systems.
- Implements, manages, and troubleshoots backup systems.
- Documents software, hardware, server, and configuration information.
- Performs proactive network reviews for alignment with technology best practices.
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or administration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting Windows PCs in a business environment.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office products and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Active Directory environments.
- Experience with Windows Server.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with remote IT management software.
- Experience with automated monitoring systems.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls.
- Knowledge of backup systems and software.
- Knowledge of network-based storage devices.
- Microsoft, Cisco, or VMWare certifications are a plus.

Pay: $48,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
