Valor Technical Cleaning LLC

Position: Market Operations Director,
Reports to: CEO and VP of Development
Location: Boise

Who We Are
Valor Technical Cleaning provides professional technical cleaning solutions for a range of emergencies, including crime scene cleanup, unattended death cleanup, decomposition, suicide cleanup, and biohazard remediation. We were founded by U.S. Army veterans with a service mindset and a proven history of serving others in their times of greatest needs. We operate with care, compassion, and extreme professionalism.

Valor has developed and strongly emphasizes a fast-paced, non-hierarchical, collaborative and communication-driven culture. Employees who operate well without a defined playbook and like a fluid work environment without a well defined daily task list and schedule will thrive at
Valor. Embracing and buying-in to this culture is critical to your future success at the Company.

We highly value employees who dig in and get the job done, regardless of their title or role in the Company, and get more satisfaction from completing jobs than managing or directing others. We are results driven, detail oriented, fast-moving and success driven. We like to win; for us, it’s personal – make no excuses, blame no one, and go do it!

What We Need
The Market Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing physical operations in their geographic market. This will include:

  • Being the point of first contact for service calls, including interacting directly with families of victims;
  • Supervising, training, hiring / firing, and managing biohazard cleaning technicians;
  • Personally doing cleanup work, including for crime scene, unattended death cleanup, decomposition, suicide cleanups, as well as biohazard remediations. While the corpse will not be present at the cleanup location, cleanup sites will contain blood and body fluids and frequently have strong odors; wearing PPE is required;
  • Overseeing compliance with regulations and OSHA standards
  • Working with restoration professionals to help coordinate home restoration projects;
  • Working with a central billing coordinator to ensure billing is done timely and accurately;
  • Ensuring overall market operations are conducted professionally and up to Valor standards;
  • Additional administrative and supervisory duties as assigned
  • Generating Business – In person meetings. This role requires daily business development / sales meetings with local agencies to build relationships and drive business. Cleanings come first, but this role is responsible for driving business.

The Market Operations Director will report to the Vice President of Operations of Valor, located in Denver. You will work in your market alongside a Business Development / Account
Management Director.

This role requires that you are highly organized, proactively take on and handle many tasks at once, are not easily overwhelmed, and are comfortable interfacing with our clients, frequently during their times of grief and mourning. You will have a “do what it takes” approach, which includes frequently doing cleanups yourself with no assistance.

Given the fast-paced environment and rapid growth trajectory of our companies, the candidate must thrive in an environment that is not governed by predictable and routine tasks, but rather one that is fast-moving, ever-changing, and highly focused on ‘doing what it takes’ to achieve victories. The ideal candidate will be low-ego, and achieve fulfillment from getting the job done rather than in managing and overseeing people.

Valor is growing at a rapid pace. We have collectively grown from startup to over $1 mm of run-rate sales in our initial Denver market in less than one year, and are actively looking to expand into additional markets currently. There is significant room for future growth in our company for candidates who excel, including the potential of overseeing multiple geographic markets / regions as we grow.
