Establishes and implements a multi-year, strategic vision for USAA FSB’s Home Equity products and service standards that deliver on member needs and positive and improved member experiences, while driving profitability. Ensures business plan expectations are achieved with additional focus on product strategy and product integration for an enterprise solution set that includes member experience, efficiency, compliance, innovation, and continuous product improvement. Plans and directs all aspects of Real Estate Home Equity Lending policies, objectives, and initiatives. Works collaboratively with Originations, Operations, and other key stakeholders across the enterprise to achieve business goals and objectives. Assesses and mitigates risk for the Home Equity portfolio and implements proactive measures that mitigate credit risk while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies, and underwriting guidelines.
- Responsible for developing the Real Estate Home Equity business through strategy development across core products, services and/or experiences within the portfolio. This includes maintaining pricing, distribution, marketing and promotion, and external partnership strategies within the risk appetite of the overall bank
- Drives the development and execution of strategies promoting the Home Equity product line, including establishing competitive pricing and collaborating with key stakeholders on effective designs of marketing campaigns
- Manages the Home Equity product set for appropriateness of financials, marketing strategy, market competitiveness, Member experience, regulatory compliance, risk management, as well as efficiency of operation and technology delivery
- Maintains a pulse on the external marketplace to ensure evaluation of evolving member needs or industry changes that could enhance the real estate offerings or operations
- Manages the P&L ensuring business plan expectations are achieved with a focus on growing Home Equity portfolio and driving business profitability
- Ensures product team delivers sales support to all distribution channels (eg, .com, mobile, contact center, realtors) so that the product is properly positioned to customers (sales tool and collateral development, sales training, etc.)
- Responsible for the development of the overarching technology strategy across Home Equity product and business verticals; Partner with business execution accountable executive to ensure integrated development and delivery of the strategy
- Manages Home Equity data and analytics to include, strategic, benchmarking, operational, credit risk, and regulatory domains. Ensures proper data integration and information governance across Real Estate Home Equity and Bank Business Intelligence and Analytics
- Builds and oversees a team of employees for assigned functional area through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum Experience:
- 10 years of experience in Real Estate Lending, preferably Home Equity, with a proven track record leading comparable operations strategically, to include utilizing data and analytics to drive results, in a complex mortgage product P&L within a highly regulated financial services industry
- Advanced knowledge of bank products, services, systems, operational policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance issues
- 8 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams
- Executive-level risk management acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends including understanding of issues related to the regulatory environment (FRB, OCC, FDIC)
- Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Success in building, implementing, and improving Home Equity product lines
- Experience with Home Equity product lines at a Financial Institution (Bank)
Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $ 274,700 – $ 494,400
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executives only representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based
