Job Summary

The Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) seeks to hire two tenure-system, open rank faculty positions in the Accounting area. Preference will be given to candidates applying for assistant professor appointments. Candidates will be required to conduct high-quality research and publish his/her research in top journals in the Accounting area, develop and teach courses in financial, managerial, audit or taxation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and engage in service activities within the university and the profession. A doctoral degree is required prior to joining, but those with ABD status will be considered at the application/interviewing stage. Candidates seeking associate and full professor appointments are expected to have experience and qualifications commensurate with those positions, and a well-established record of research and teaching. Appointments will be effective Fall 2022.

Minimum Education and Experience

An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline and a record of productivity and professional achievement.

Earned PhD in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business or Economics

Mentor and/or advise undergraduate and/or graduate students
Establish and/or continue an independent line of research
Continue to expand professional influence in the academic discipline through research and/or publication
Engage in service within the academic unit, the university, and the profession as appropriate based on teaching and research constraints
