Job Summary
The Enterprise Infection Preventionist (IP) is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of hospital acquired infections (HAI’s). The IP is the Enterprise liaison for state agencies related to reporting outbreaks and reportable diseases. The IP also educates employees about infection prevention and participates in the development of health system policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards that meet Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, CDC, as well as other nationally organized agencies recommendations and requirements. Candidate will also need strong clinical knowledge, problem solving, leadership, organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills along with basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet.
