Experience:
24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
18 months of travel experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license prior to placement start.
This role will require floating to multiple units
Candidates must live at least 100 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.
COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Information:
Accepts first-time traveler with greater than 2 years of experience (PCU/ICU for PCU RN & Med/Tele or higher level of care for Tele RN)
Skills required: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, Blood product administration, CIWA, drain/tube management, indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management, vasoactive drips, insulin drips – both DKA and non-DKA, cardiac drips (titrating and non-titrating), continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance;
Floating: To Adult Inpatient Units – Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, ICU (depending on experience), Observation. Will float in rotation with other travelers
Every other or 50% weekends per 4-week schedule. Weekends are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Travelers are not scheduled On Call hours, but may be placed On Call related to Low Census if hours are over guaranteed weekly hours OR traveler requests to be low censused On Call
Every other holiday minimum during contracted timeframe
Approval of time off: Up to 7 days. Must extend contract if unable to work a full week to accommodate a 13-week contract. No RTO during Sturgis Bike Rally (3 weeks every August).
