Position Summary:

The Factoring Accounting Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily functions of the Factoring Accounting team including management of workflow, cash application and funding, exception handling, unapplied cash, inbound and outbound requests of factor accounting, and administrative needs of the department.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee performance management of the Factoring Accounting team and provide mentoring, coaching, training, and guidance to team members to help them grow and develop.
  • Manage workflow and monitor workload for task assignment or reassignment as needed
  • Ensure successful onboarding of new partners and train team members in factor accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership or other appropriate partners as needed to manage processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with company objectives.
  • Prepare periodic reports, review and reconcile data, and participate in the development of specialized financial data.
  • Oversee and prepare entries and adjustments to records, files, and statements. Assist with financial and variance analyses.
  • Ensure that acceptable production and quality standards are maintained, and finance functions are completed in accordance with established policies and standards and related governmental requirements.
  • Provide recommendations and assist in creating and implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
  • A minimum of five years of blended AP/AR experience is required.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and basic spreadsheets, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage the details of multiple responsibilities and competing deadlines
  • Ability to foster teamwork and build collaborative relationships with other departments and organizational groups
  • Skilled ability to develop and coach partners for improved and sustained performance.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism, confidence, and commitment to the company’s goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Plays a critical role in partner development and accountability. Includes hiring, monthly documented coaching / check in’s, annual performance feedback, and documentation, along with building and measuring SMART goals with each partner. The ability to have transparent and crucial conversations along with managing performance improvement plans and termination as applicable. Day-to-day operations management of the department, displaying initiative and creative thinking to attain business objectives while streamlining processes as applicable. Displays a One Team mindset in everything that they do. Understands the dynamics of cross-functional feedback, and is approachable and coachable while exhibiting our core values.
