Transborder Express Inc. is seeking a Client Management and Sales Representative with both DOMESTIC and North America’s transportation experience to identify new client opportunity and sell to prospective clients while increasing sales volume of Expedited/Air Cargo/Customs Clearance Services, LTL and Truckload through direct-sales efforts.
This position is a producing manager role with direct sales responsibility. The selected candidate needs to be based in Chicagoland US market. The potential candidate will also support Transportation operations teams located in Chicago, IL, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and in Denver, CO.
Area of expertise include:
- AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Services- On Demand
- Domestic Transportation Services including LTL, Truckload & Air/Expedite
- Transportation Management Programs & associated services
- Domestic Air & Ground Cargo Services & associated services.
Coverage territory: National Responsibilities will include:
Client services segmentation and maintenance; business line sales revenue forecasts and projections to company management; tracking and comparing actual to set production goals and targets; leading pricing strategy working closely with Operations and Executive leaders. Candidate will provide strategic & tactical sales leadership for team of individuals selling above transportation services while working closely with Operations Manager(s) to define requirements and strategies to effectively meet or exceed Company requirements & customer expectations. Assist to identify and contract service providers in support of operational activities.
Travel: none at the moment due to the given circumstances.
Requirements preferred but not necessary:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Related Field preferred but not required.
Minimum 1-2 years of supply chain management experience with min 1 year of direct sales experience (preferably in transportation industry). Above average PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Windows-based systems and CRM systems. Candidate must be able to react and think under pressure situations, with regard to the present and future of the company. Ideal candidate must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients (internal and external) and vendors via phone, email, fax, in-person or any other means as required. Customer and File management skills are essential in this position. If hired, you should be forward looking and develop effective sales methods, procedures, client relationships that maximize the growth potential of the company. Candidate must exhibit strong leadership qualities and should set a positive example for others to follow, take initiative to meet determined goals, and set forth goals aligned with those of the company.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
