Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Compensation Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Compensation Coordinator.

The primary responsibility of this role is to be a representative of the Compensation team that supports leaders to grow their organization and helps maintain competitive reward programs for the salaried population.

Reporting to the Manager of Compensation the person in this role will support the Compensation department’s objective to lead compensation projects and processes for approximately 15,000 Toyota North America employees in the US. This position works closely with internal stakeholders, HR business partners, employees, and management to develop compensation solutions.


What you’ll be doing

  • Assist with annual compensation programs (Base pay and bonus) as well as reward program administration and operations.
  • Reward program management and execution.
  • Research market competitiveness through salary survey data collection and submission, market pricing, and consultants.
  • Understand business issues and context for compensation programs and job evaluations.
  • Salaried job evaluation intake and backup for Compensation team using Hay Methodology.
  • Compensation technology updates (GEM, Workday, Salesforce).


What you bring

  • Ability to manage highly confidential & sensitive information including personnel and organizational changes.
  • Ability to work and create effective partnerships with the compensation team and HR Business Advisors.
  • Quantitative analysis and Excel competencies.
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills, including excellent presentation and facilitation skills as well as interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of compensation theory, principles, and practices to perform an independent analysis of programs using market data.
  • Project and change management skills.
  • Workday system experience including Advanced Compensation administration.
  • Experience presenting to executive-level audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or Business OR equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Hay Job Evaluation Methodology.
  • Knowledge of Automotive or Manufacturing industries.
