Overall purpose of the job
An hourly role in which the incumbent performs various duties within the Dallas, Fort Worth area warehouse including, but not limited to: Shipping and Receiving, in and load out domestic and international freight, pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, ensure inventory accuracy unload/load trucks, schedule inbound deliveries using Advance Ship Notices.
Duties also include regular communication with operations, vendors, the local transportation group and receivers.
Primary duties & responsibilities
- Ability to work alternate shifts as well as overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50-pounds repetitively and stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Perform one or more warehouse operational functions within the guidelines of the facility (receiving, on-hand recording, pick, pack, wrap and load orders for our customers as needed)
- Operates multiple types of material handling/packaging/warehouse equipment including a forklift to offload and load different types of trucks.
- Performs specialized warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility
- Performs receiving, shipping and warehousing
- Ability to work with a computer, emails, spreadsheets, basic Microsoft, Excel programs.
Qualifications
- Forklift Operator experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Solid knowledge of freight forwarding / logistics
