The Carrix organization is reshaping global business processes in areas focused on customer-to-cash, purchase-to-pay, record-to-report, and asset management/maintenance. Data is essential through these processes and directs the optimization and innovation, turning challenges into opportunities within our new ERP system, IFS Cloud.

The Data Manager position is responsible for understanding, communicating, and caring for the data framework by advocating and enabling meticulous data stewardship across different divisions of the company. This role will establish standards, ensure quality and employee efficient management techniques are imperative for successful data handling. To address data governance requirements, including streamlined workflows and application security solutions, strategic focus in this position is paramount.

The role is ideally suited for an individual who maintains a business-centric perspective and possesses diverse work experiences across various data disciplines. The desired candidate also has a growth mindset and a strong desire for learning. In addition, a positive and confident demeanor will aid in fostering connections through the organization as well as taking the lead in discussions with stakeholders at all levels. In this role, there is the opportunity to take on an array of responsibilities while collaborating globally across the Carrix organization while making a tangible impact.

  • Develop a global data governance framework supporting ERP roadmap and related business intelligence initiatives.
  • Support the development of data governance policies, procedures, and standards for consistency, accuracy, and security.
  • Monitor adherence to and enhance data governance policies.
  • Establish processes that drive uniform, accurate master data in ERP and related enterprise applications.
  • Identify and initiate global/local master data projects for quality improvement.
  • Define roles for clear master data ownership.
  • Maintain understanding of ERP program’s goals, objectives, and strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, which are led by Global Process Owners (“GPOs”), for aligned data management.
  • Advocate standardized practices in ERP implementation.
  • Cooperate with IT teams to facilitate the integration and alignment of data systems with the strategic business objectives and operational needs of the organization.
  • Build strong relationships with global stakeholders, IT, corporate, and local units.
  • Serve as key contact for data-related inquiries, providing guidance.
  • Establish KPIs to measure data quality, consistency, and policy enforcement.
  • Monitor metrics, conduct variance analysis for master data policy compliance.
  • Provide regular reporting on data management progress.
  • Develop and enforce tech/governance policies for data management.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT for data security.
  • Uphold program standards via service excellence, process improvement, data analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data quality and efficiency.
  • Set expectations for data migration activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data management, governance, and/or ERP implementation support. It is preferred that candidate has experience working within professional services, such as management consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, best practices, and data quality management.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and their impact on business processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to drive informed decision-making.
  • Project management experience with the ability to lead and manage complex data projects.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations and their implications on data management practices.

Work Environment:

  • Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
  • Exposure to computer screens.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
