This key contributor will support Disney Streaming Services, a business that delivers on Disney’s direct to consumer business strategy, including ESPN+, Disney +, and Star+.

Responsibilities :

  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes as needed including preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Effectively review and summarize contracts for Management
  • Manage key contractual terms such as accruing revenue shares and royalty fees
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting as well as coordinating the payment of music royalty fees and 3rd party revenue shares
  • Understand and execute internal controls around job functions including coordinating with internal and external auditors
  • Assist in the facilitation of the Disney Streaming Services Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 Compliance program including providing guidance related to the SOX requirements, identification of key controls, proactively monitor/evaluate current controls and issues
  • Effectively communicate with business partners and internal team to better anticipate challenges and seek out process efficiencies
  • Understand and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Understand and be able to explain the main elements of financial statements and reports
  • Collaborate and work as a team with peers and business partners
  • Provide support, lead, and assist with ad hoc requests/special projects for team objectives


Basic Qualifications :

  • Ability to prioritize workload and escalate conflicting priorities
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals (e.g., debit/credits, financial statements)
  • Complete moderately complex to complex tasks and projects requiring independent initiative
  • Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility for changing needs and audiences
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and articulate the impact of internal and external factors as they apply to the business/industry/direct processes
  • Ability to understand, assess, and prioritize risk across components of the control environment
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge with ability to analyze large sets of data using pivot and lookup tables
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with or knowledge of SAP preferred


Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
