Job Description

Feed the Children is looking for a Staff Accountant to assist in the review and support of international country office day-to-day accounting. The Staff Accountant will be the primary point of contact and liaison between HQ and the country office Finance staff. The Staff Accountant is ultimately responsible for ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, reviewing cash advance request, and reviewing / supporting the monthly close process.

Staff Accountant Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Advanced Skills using Microsoft Office products (particularly in Excel)

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. (CPA preferred but not required).

· Strong QuickBooks expertise.

· Must have experience working with international country offices.

· Detailed oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to multi-task and stay well organized.

Staff Accountant: Essential Job Functions:

· Monitor daily accounting entries across specific international country offices.

· Work directly with country office accountants to ensure adherence of accounting processes and procedures.

· Monitor country office cash flow and review monthly country office cash requests.

· Assist in budget preparation.

· Analyze country offices financial reports for inaccuracies.

· Manage month-end financial closing checklist and ensure compliance.

· Monitor and track Federal and Non-Federal expenditures.

· Performs other related duties as required.

This can become a Full Time position.
