The Accounting Manager oversees and manages accounting data, financial forecasts and annual budgets of Tastes On The Fly. The Accounting Manager will support the Director of Finance & CFO in managing the overall accounting processes.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Roles & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Controller, with a dotted line to the Chief Finance

Officer, for regular and ad-hoc duties for the business of TOTF. Such responsibilities may include

but are not limited to the list below. With an initial focus on accounting & reporting, the

expectation is you’d quickly master this area and grow into a broader role within 12 months.

Accounting, Financial & Operations Reporting (top priority first 6 to 8 months)

Ensure the accuracy, timelines and effectiveness of the corporate accounting

consolidation and closing process (monthly, quarterly, annually) and treasury operations

Assist in the maintenance of the cloud-based accounting system (NetSuite)

Oversee the preparation and distribution of month-end reporting dashboards

containing financial and non-financial KPIs

Review lender financials, compile MD&A, and present to the lender group monthly

Support external auditors, tax consultants and other strategic third-party advisors

Work directly with the CFO & CEO to calculate and distribute management bonuses

Oversee review and release of payments to vendors, banks and other third parties

Develop and implement process improvement initiatives

Periodically prepare accounting policy papers supporting positions on key GAAP topics

Review accounting for growth capital expenditures. Ensure records are accurate.

Compare actual capex to budget capex

Manage and monitor free cash flow generated by restaurant, by terminal, by airport,

and overall. Own Weekly Cashflow Forecast that is reviewed by H.I.G. and presented to

the lender every week

Work closely with CFO on special projects

Business Analysis (medium-term focus once accounting & reporting is in order and efficient)

Advance and maintain an effective strategic planning and analysis capability that will

provide stakeholders with appropriate frameworks, KPIs and analyses to measure and

improve the performance of the business

Participate as a key thought leader of the finance team, influencing decision making,

identifying finance priorities, and working with staff in multiple locations

Identify financial and operational trends and their resulting implications, including key

actions / strategic responses the Company should take

Track performance of new openings against budget

Financial Planning & New Project Analysis (Q4 when we commence annual planning)

Participate in the 2023 budget process, including development of operating plan and

long-term projections, capital budgeting/cash forecasting, hiring, and growth planning

Work directly with the CFO and CEO to prepare new contract cost proposals and analyze

ROI / paybacks through an understanding of the Company’s business model, airport

RFPs, and by working closely with internal resources (operations, HR, accounting) and

external resources

Assist in the due diligence process, forecasting and financial integration of acquisition

targets, and further the M&A capabilities of TOTF

QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education, training and work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Accounting degree preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of experience in a similar role.
