What we need

We are looking for a Senior Software Release Manager to join our Release Management team within our Core Software Systems Engineering organization. Your job will be to own the release management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases. You will d evelop a software release strategy across the entire Symbotic system, with input from the business, project plans, development and testing teams, and our customers .

What we do

The Release Management team is part of the Core Software Systems Engineering organization, which is responsible f or designing, build ing, scaling, and maintain ing a portfolio of software platforms and services. This team works in close cross-functional collaboration with our Breakpack, Bot, Controls, Production IT, and onsite Customer Deployment and Operations teams.

What you’ll do

  • Work with all stakeholders in Engineering, QA, Deployment, and site operations to manage software releases, track progress, and deliver towards release milestones using agile methodology
  • Develop a software release strategy across the entire Symbotic system, with input from the business, project plans, development and testing teams, and our customers
  • Report weekly release progress and conduct release readiness reviews and business go/no-go reviews
  • Continually evaluate & improve the release effort by improving processes, removing inefficiencies, and automating manual steps
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes

What you’ll need

  • STEM Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of proven experience as a Release Manager or software project leader
  • Understanding of software version control systems (Git preferred)
  • Experience driving large process improvements and/or automation projects and programs
  • Experience in defining release readiness criteria and risk assessment, ensuring all changes meet criteria prior to deployment
