Join our CT_Process Plants team within Chemtech division in United States as Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, Process Plants to help us deliver customized innovative process solutions to our customers.
No visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and program various instrumentation and control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic controllers (PLC), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate instrumentation and control systems into overall process solutions, ensuring seamless communication and functionality.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for instrumentation projects, providing expertise to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Develop detailed engineering documentation, including specifications, control narratives, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and other technical documentation.
- Participate in on-site commissioning and troubleshooting activities to ensure successful system implementation and client satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to instrumentation and controls engineering.
What you bring to Sulzer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation/Controls
- Proven experience working as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer within the refining/petrochemical/gas industries
- Strong proficiency in designing and programming DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems from leading manufacturers
- Solid understanding of process control fundamentals, including PID control loops, field instrumentation, and process optimization techniques
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations governing instrumentation and control systems
- Experience required in field instrumentation design and specificiation
