RNs in the Central Based Resource Center float to different units of need in both Butterworth and Blodgett. Employees who currently work in this role love the opportunity to float and check out different spaces each shift while still remaining in a benefitted role and being part of a team.
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

- Assigned to a home unit where cancellation dates are held and where you would report for holiday shifts (one winter and one summer holiday assigned)
- Self-scheduling – can sign up based on first come first serve basis to fill up to core scheduling needs
- Every third weekend requirement
- Assigned based on need throughout system – Float to med/surg and progressive care units (ICU depending on experience)

Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree Nursing Required
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) State of Michigan Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) All unless otherwise noted 90 Days Required
- Clinical Area of Specialty Certification Preferred
- 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
