JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Warehouse Fulfillment is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving products and maintaining inventory. People management responsibilities may include planning and assigning daily work and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including:
  • Filling and shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements (technical service, vendors, etc.), ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel, filling work orders from production, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities.
  • Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.
  • Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Responsible for all reporting and compliance expectations both internally and externally
  • All other duties assigned by Management
  • Design, monitor, and maintain a safe working environment through compliance of safety programs.
  • Involved in and recommend hiring, promotions, terminations, performance appraisals, and labor standards.
  • Maintain product inventory, location and quality status
  • Makes necessary adjustments to inventory, utilizing Company database systems and prepares reports on the data collected
  • Develop strategies for meeting future facility and business goals/objectives
  • Possess the ability to offer constructive feedback in order to motivate and drive performance to very high standards
  • Collaborate with managers from other departments to ensure company commitment to excellence is achieved.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with intermediate or better skills in Excel
  • Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Must have experience in the logistics and transportation industry.
  • Retail and product placement experience preferred.
  • Must have previous experience in Inventory Control.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to lead by example.
  • Effective communication and motivational capabilities as position requires client contact.
  • Strong Math and Reasoning Skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong conflict resolution, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory/management level position in a warehouse/distribution center environment

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Physical requirements will include the need for repetitive standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, stretching, and reaching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
