Job title: Logistics Supervisor

Reports to: MP&L Director

Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed):

· Directs inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation, receiving, shipping, and warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management with a hands-on approach.

Primary Objectives

· Sets, communicates and manages day-to-day operational objectives for team, to ensure hourly metrics are met.

· Supervises the activities of hourly workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials to ensure efficient movement of material and regulatory compliance.

· Ensures practices and procedures are followed by direct reports.

· Conducts inventory control, analysis and classification according to material management procedure to ensure effective logistics deployment.

· Champions continuous improvement by measuring KPIs and implementing lean tools to improve tact time.

· Ensures appropriate staffing, training, and evaluation of departmental personnel insuring skill levels to meet the needs of the business in the most efficient manner and improve standard work and cross-area work where possible.

Requirements

· Desire a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent experience (Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations and 2 years of Logistics supervision).

· Must have prior, demonstrated experience.

· Comfortability with using metrics to support the business and support performance management.

· SAP or similar transactional processing

· Ability to resolve logistics transactional processing issues.

· Strong analytical, problem solving and leadership skills. Must be able to help develop and monitor key performance measurement (metrics) while maintaining defined service levels and prepare various Logistics reports in support of organizational requirement.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
