This company is based in Sumner, WA and is a mattress manufacturer primarily serving the North West US. The company is looking for a Logistics Manager to join the team and manage the drivers, routes and broker relationships. This candidate will also work with Production to help schedule work for the plant as they will know first-hand knowledge of incoming materials.

The role of Logistics Manager will require the ability to forge meaningful relationships with a variety of brokers, plan all routes, maintain compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety protocol, and manage the drivers. The ideal candidate will have an ability to analyze data and maintain key metrics. The position is self-directed with limited supervision.

Requirements:

*4 year college degree in Logistics or Business preferred, but not required
*3 or more years management level experience in Distribution/Transportation/Routing
*Demonstrable broker relationships
*Knowledge and experience in operating within the guidelines of DOT, OSHA, Health Department, and other regulatory agencies
*Experience in working in compliance with DOT regulations
*Strong excel skills
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*Should be able to manage your own time and be a self-starter
*Strong communication skills both internally and externally

*Ability to manage to budget and perform to KPI’s

*Have an eye on process improvement and cost reduction

Responsibilities:

*Partner with brokers to aid in their delivery needs to coordinate with backhaul of needed supplies for the company.
*Maximize revenue opportunities, using assets to mitigate operating costs.
*Identify and designate all routing that maximizes both efficiency and cost.

*Analyze route efficiency and profitability, identify exceptions and perform route cause analysis to understand and correct issues

*Abide by service expectations and vendor accountability.
*Explore new opportunities, ways to improve processes and identify road blocks
*Coordination of drivers and routes within the organization

*Understand and comply with company safety policies and train your drivers in the same
*Keep abreast of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations;
*Employee development with drivers
*Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
