Slamdance Group is currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic full-time Festival Manager to manage the non-profit festival programs in tandem with the festival producer. This person will be managing the day-to-day operations of the festival and screenplay competition, programming, annual entries and collaborate on the overall direction of the festival. We are looking for someone who has patience for both minor and major details and the motivation for personal and professional growth. The festival manager needs to be an exceptional communicator who’s eager to build upon Slamdance’s place for creative outsiders and amplify artists often silenced by the mainstream. The right candidate needs to nurture relationships within our inclusive community of alumni, programmers, readers and filmmakers. The position is suited for a proactive, detail-oriented person with strong writing skills who can multitask and isn’t afraid to hustle. Candidates must be proficient in using Google Suite, Dropbox and Slack and be excellent at time management. The festival manager will be expected to work closely with the festival producer in leading the Slamdance team into the future. Salary is dependent on experience and starts at $62,000. Health care benefits are included in full-time employment following a one month trial period in the position. We are based in Los Angeles, CA and have multiple events that take place elsewhere. The Festival Manager will be expected to attend each of these events.
