Role: Logistics & Transportation Coordinator
Contract: 9 months
Location: Taunton Massachusetts MA-02780
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2nd shift 11am -7pm or 12pm -8pm
Description:
· Someone to be at the door to let truck drivers into the dock
· Record keeping and timekeeping
· Familiar with SAP and Oracle
· Experience with excel
· Experience with dispatching in the truck industry is a plus
· Willing to travel for training, approxiamately 50 miles
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED
This position will have the responsibility to coordinate dock and carrier scheduling in our Taunton, MA Distribution Center.
Duties include scheduling of trucks for both Millipore Sigma preferred carriers and customer chosen logistics providers, and coordination with The WH team, Carriers, and Customer Excellence team members as needed for scheduling conflicts, verification of timely arrival, loading, and departure, and damage notifications. The role includes use of both SAP and Oracle ERP systems, as well as scheduling tools. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must, as is agility to recognize and adapt to scheduling issues. Continuous monitoring of trucks on door as well as in the yard awaiting door assignment, and coordination of truck movement on/off door is critical
