Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Mgr IT B2B with expertise in EDI and webMethods integration platform to join our team. The Sr. Mgr IT B2B will be responsible for leading, managing and overseeing the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment. This role requires a strong understanding of EDI standards, data mapping, trading partner onboarding, and experience with webMethods integration software. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate data exchange with our B2B partners.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies, initiatives and processes that improve the company’s long-term objectives.
- Cross collaborates with peers and other departments to ensure shared goals are achieved.
- Establish goals for team members.
- Manage lower-level leaders and professionals.
- Manage the end-to-end EDI operations in a B2B environment using webMethods integration platform.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external B2B partners to understand EDI requirements, develop implementation strategies, and establish EDI processes and standards.
- Lead the implementation and onboarding of new trading partners, ensuring smooth EDI integration and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain EDI maps, including mapping specifications, data transformation, and data validation rules using webMethods Integration Server.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, identify and resolve issues, and ensure the timely and accurate transmission of EDI data.
- Stay up-to-date with EDI standards and industry best practices, and provide guidance to the team on compliance and process improvements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to coordinate infrastructure requirements, system enhancements, and upgrades related to EDI and webMethods integration.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including EDI guidelines, trading partner profiles, technical specifications, and integration procedures.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on EDI processes, tools, and technologies, fostering a culture of self-sufficiency.
- Continuously assess and improve EDI processes, workflows, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage EDI-related projects, including requirements gathering, project planning, resource allocation, and timely delivery.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proven experience of 2 or more years working as an EDI Manager or in a similar role in a B2B environment.
- Proven experience of 5 or more years working as an EDI Developer in a B2B environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with webMethods Integration Server, including EDI module, Trading Networks, and Integration Server administration.
- In-depth knowledge of EDI standards, such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML, as well as B2B protocols like AS2, FTP, and SFTP.
- Strong understanding of B2B integration concepts, data mapping, and EDI transaction sets (e.g., 810, 850, 856, 997) across various industries.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting EDI issues, interpreting error messages, and resolving data transmission failures.
- Solid project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and integration with webMethods is a plus.
Education Required:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Relevant certifications in EDI and webMethods integration are highly desirable.
