Sheraton Arlington Hotel
The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating, managing and directing daily operations for the Rooms Department. He/she is expected to be directly involved in creating ideas to reduce associate turnover; increase revenue and maintain payroll budgets; meet or improve on budgeted productivity while keeping service delivery and product quality consistently high as measured by GSS and QA.
Ensure that guest services and communications meet hotel standards for maximum guest satisfaction. Act as the main contact for guests and other hotel departments. Exhibit to guest and Guest Services team an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous demeanor, provide all guests with quality service prior to and throughout their stay, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
In general the mission of the Operations Manager is to continually focus on achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and developing employees, while maintaining the integrity of the hotel.
Education & Experience:
At least 5 – 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
Previous management experience required. Sheraton Experience Preferred.
Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
Must have a valid driver’s license from the applicable state.
Requires TABC and Food Handler Certification.
