Job Summary

System Administrator is a member of the team responsible for providing daily technical support, enhancements, and stable operation to SERVPRO’S LAN/WAN infrastructure environment. Responsibilities encompass support for a LAN/WAN Infrastructure of 500+ Corporate users and daily access/usage to corporate systems for 2.00+ Franchises Nationwide. The System Administrator role also includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, cloud-based systems, and communication links.

You will

  • Provide maintenance, enhancements, and implementation for LAN/WAN hardware resources including, but not limited to network switches, storage systems, load balancers, blade server infrastructure and backup systems.
  • Provide maintenance, enhancements, and implementation for LAN/WAN applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Server OS, MS Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, Active Directory Services, MS Internet Information Services, Monitoring applications, VMware applications and other components as required.
  • Provide maintenance, enhancements and implementation for Single Sign-on infrastructure including Active Directory Services, third party GUI and third-party middle tier integration.
  • Maintain and support off the shelf applications as requested.
  • Administer equipment, hardware, and software upgrades for the LAN environment.
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Provide daily technical Production support for SERVPRO’S LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Manage and maintain security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Provide necessary support for cloud-based platforms including, but not limited to, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365.
  • Manage and maintain data backup processes and resources
  • Assist in managing account creations for franchise accounts in single sign-on tool like OKTA

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform network design and capacity planning.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery infrastructure and processes.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
  • Maintain network component inventory documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Perform server and security audits.

You have

  • Two years in Technical Production Environment providing LAN/WAN support.
  • Two years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Server operating systems and operations.
  • Two years of experience managing and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience in a related field.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment; Occasional need to move computer related equipment.
  • Normal working hours are 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday.
  • After-hours work will be on an as needed basis depending upon project load and maintenance requirements. SERVPRO’s environment requires 24hours/7days a week up time to serve the Franchise community and National Call Center.
  • On-call rotation with other systems administrators
  • Emergency after-hours work is required on occasion.
