Regional Construction Manager
Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Salon Lofts success by providing planning, project management and financial oversight in new store construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of excellence in delivering the Salon Lofts experience in our stores.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Manages the Development, Design and Construction (DDC) process within Salon Lofts timeline requirements from new site locations to new store openings.
- Manages and monitors project schedules and quality assurance guidelines to ensure projects are completed on time and effectively. Maintains, adjusts and updates project plans as needed. Consolidates, communicates and manages all issues and risks affecting the project.
- Communicates project status weekly to project participants and stakeholders accurately and on time.
- Prepares possession of tenant spaces according to company guidelines.
- Monitors general contractor and vendor performance during construction build-out phase.
- Maintains established construction schedules to allow store to open on time. Oversees ordering and tracking of materials and equipment.
- Visits job regularly to perform due diligence and monitor quality assurance checklist throughout each phase of construction.
- Addresses concerns and maintains consistent follow-up on any outstanding issues.
- Manages the permitting and approval phase of the development process and ensures all proper approvals have been received prior to initiate possession or construction phase.
- Maintains relationships with jurisdictions and planning commissions to ensure seamless store openings.
- Oversees bidding process and contract negotiations. Ensures company’s contract policies are followed. Maintains and monitors active General Contractor (GC) and sub-contractor pool for adequate number, quality of workmanship and service level.
- Supports development efforts by working closely with other departments to determine more effective processes and tools.
- Supports DDC goals by participating and contributing in planning and strategy meetings for the market.
- Plans and manages construction processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
Summary of Experience
- Construction Management experience with both GC’s and Owner Representatives.
- Progressive experience managing a construction team in a multi-unit retail or restaurant environment.
- Project management with experience managing 20 to 30 projects per year.
- Extensive experience with completing existing condition site survey reports for the development triad.

- Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage others.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly-changing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects for national retail or restaurant industry.
- Ability to manage the Pre-Construction phase during Real Estate negotiations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels.

Pay: $95,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
