POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for individuals in both seasonal/temporary and temp-to-hire capacities to work Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:30pm in our Vacuum Pumps Department.
Perform all tasks involved in the production of Ritchie Engineering Company Vacuum Pump Department products. This includes assembling parts, inspection, and operating hand and power tools. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: *

- Performs assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools
- Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet company quality standards
- Place finished goods on the designated pallet
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Must have good working knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use
- Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to hand trucks to convey or move materials to proper departments or areas
- Complete required paperwork and documentation
- All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: *
- Must have experience with both hand and power tools
- Must be familiar with product assembly
- Ability to read work instructions and work orders
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC: *
- Will work with press, drills, and various other hand and power tools
- Must be able to operate pallet jacket to move product
- Must be highly self-motivated, work with minimal supervision able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Required to sit, stand, walk, handle or feel objects, tools and controls
- Able to tolerate occasional loud noise
- Vision required to inspect products and documents in detail
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; some work stations require lifting and/or moving up to 60 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT: *
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment, may work near moving equipment, and exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
