Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is currently seeking an AWS Principal Cloud Architect. Candidates will design and manage a secure public cloud foundation. Working with our technical delivery teams and other platform engineering groups, you’ll design architectures and service specific controls that enable our application teams to safely use cloud services to deliver world class applications to customers
Responsibilities:
- Design, document, and present the cloud infrastructure product to teams moving to Public Cloud
- Work with Cloud Security Architects and Engineers to ensure the public cloud is secure and up to security standards
- Work with Cloud Engineers to design and build a cloud foundation to enable AppDev teams
- Lead the design and implementation of key areas related to cloud including IAM, Hybrid DNS, centralized logging, network topology, and more
- Partner with delivery teams to define secure configurations of common cloud services
- Define and implement policies using various cloud posture management tools
- Coach and mentor technical colleagues on best practices in the public cloud
- Design and lead the building of various tools/automation to streamline existing processes and enabling self-service
- Assist cloud operations staff with troubleshooting and operations escalations and the remediation of identified security findings
Qualifications:
- Google Cloud Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience as a technical architect/engineer
- 5+ years of recent hands-on experience working with cloud technologies, specifically AWS, GCP, and/or Microsoft Azure
- 5+ years of experience automating Cloud deployments and using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines
- 5+ years of experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Google Deployment Manager
- Knowledge of basic Internet principles such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, Networking, Load Balancing, etc.
- Knowledge of IAM best practices and platform security principles
- Experience using CSP SDKs
- Experience using CSP CLI tools
- Experience working in Agile environment
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Python scripting
- Experience with containers and/or container orchestration such as Kubernetes
