Logistics Coordinator – Day Shift – No Weekends

Quality Distribution, a leading 3PL Warehouse, Distribution, and Transportation company located just west of the Salt Lake International Airport has an immediate opening for a Logistics Coordinator.

Logistics Coordinators are responsible for supporting shipment activities for multiple customers that ship daily shipments domestic and international. The Logistics Coordinators help to secure, book, track and manage customer shipments including LTL, FTL, Expedited, and Small Parcel shipping.

The duties of this position include:

· Developing and maintaining key customers in need of third-party logistics solutions.

· Calling new and existing customers in support of LTL and Truckload shipments.

· Quoting, Booking, Routing, and Tracking shipments.

· Effectively communicating with internal and external customers via phone and e-mail.

· Working with multiple transportation/shipping online web applications.

· Monitor drivers, dispatchers, shippers, and receivers to ensure that our customer’s freight is picked up and delivered on time.

· Supporting sales management with key customers.

· Communicate with multiple trucking, small package, and international transportation providers.

Requirements:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· General knowledge of transportation, LTL, Truckload, and Small Package.

· Must have at least 1-2 years of Logistics/shipping or transportation-related experience.

· Must have a working knowledge of computer tools i.e. Microsoft Office / General Web searching.

· Must be able to work quickly and independently to identify and solve problems.

· Willing to work until the daily tasks are complete.

· HS Degree required however college degree preferred.

· Customer service experience a plus.

Pay begins at $19 per hour or more for qualified new hires.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
