The position will report to the IT Audit Senior Manager and support the efficient and timely execution of multiple IT Audit Plan activities over a complex IT environment. The position will also be responsible to support the IT Audit team with various internal audit department strategic initiatives in an advisory capacity to meet Point32Health’s business objectives.
Job Description
- Perform audit activities under the direction of the Audit Plan Owner and support the Auditor-In-Charge across all phases of the audit (ie, Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting)
- Prepare audit workpapers (ie, narratives, process flows, risk & controls matrix) and testing procedures
- Work collaboratively with audit team and management to evaluate controls, identify & confirm issues, and develop corrective action plans
- Monitor and follow up on management action plans to ensure timely completion
- Build and maintain relationships with management, establish a culture of engagement, transparency and adding value
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree preferred
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is preferred.
- 2-4 years of internal or external IT audit experience, preferably in healthcare or health insurance
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Audit Standards, IIA standards, accounting and auditing sampling and testing methodologies, Model Audit Rule or Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, risk management and statutory reporting
- Knowledge of testing IT general controls in a regulated environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently with little supervision
- Detail oriented with organizational skills
- Time management skills and the ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously and in a timely manner
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Technology and computer skills, with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Data analytics experience preferred
