We strive to provide consistent and reliable transportation of petroleum products, and now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Tanker Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator in the Richmond, Virginia area terminal.
About the Position
The qualified candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation pertaining to the scheduling, purchasing, delivering, and dispatching of all petroleum loads. This position is responsible for the work load distribution for dedicated drivers, as well as coordinating with the other terminal locations in the use of their drivers. The Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator must make sound decisions to direct, re-direct, and/or stop all deliveries as needed per the demand of the business, including advanced scheduling of return loads to maximize both the equipment and personnel utilization.
In addition, the qualified candidate will also be responsible for Data Entry of Bill of Lading into the internal computer system (Creative Energies) received from the drivers as well as other administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
Previous transportation industry experience is required. Dispatching experience is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Solid customer service skills and attention to detail. Must have proven, reputable decision making skills and the ability to think on your feet. Must have solid Microsoft office experience and skill set as well internet based application experience. Must be able to sit, stand, walk short distances, bend, twist, stoop, reach, lift 25+ pounds and exert 40 pounds of force. Must be dependable and able to respond to on-call schedule as needed.
