Ideal candidates have experience in importing and exporting materials, freight cost analysis, and negotiating freight contracts and tracking shipments.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced, self-starting Logistics Specialist with versatile skills to work cooperatively in our San Antonio distribution center. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Oversea Casing Company LLC, is looking for a motivated team member to take a “hands on” approach in performing the following primary responsibilities:

· Coordinate ocean import/export shipments with customs brokers and ocean carriers

· Arrange ocean drayage pickup and delivery

· Works with warehouse to coordinate loading/unloading appointments

· Coordinate import/ export FTL and air shipments

· Proactively trouble shoot carrier problems to prevent delays/fees

· Follow up on in transit shipments and reports to Logistics manager of possible delays

· Follow up when needed on other type of shipments

· Informs other departments of delays

· Performs additional administrative tasks as requested

· Reports directly to the Logistics Manager

Qualifications

· Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in ocean and international shipments/ logistics

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Proficient in MS Office required

· Basic knowledge in SAP preferred

· Preferred knowledge of local and international carriers and routes

· Preferred knowledge of CAN/MEX customs/transportation requirements

· Strong organization, communication, and time management skills

· Proactiveness and attention to detail

· Being able to work independently and as part of a team

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
