Parking Attendant
Overview
The ideal candidate for this position provides courteous, reliable, and efficient customer service in accordance with customer expectations and established performance standards.
The selected parking attendant will be responsible for ticket disbursement, facilitating entry/exit of vehicles, directing customers to parking spots and monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of parking areas. Depending on the needs of the location, the attendant is responsible for greeting and location knowledge such as nearby social locations.
The attendant will work closely with fellow team members, the operations manager and/or the shift supervisor.
Working Conditions
Work is performed entirely outdoors for extended periods of time. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided however employees are still advised to be prepared for unexpected weather changes. ALL SHIFTS are between 9 PM -3 AM.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license. (If you are an out-of-state college student, you must have a valid license in your state of residence)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Sales/retail experience is preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment including a drug and criminal background check
- The ability to work LATE NIGHT/flexible hours including holidays and weekends
- Possess basic mathematical skills and aptitude
- Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time (usual shifts range 3-5 hours)
- Possess an outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Demonstrates active listening, quick problem-solving skills and proves the ability to pay attention to details
- Ability to deal with customer situations, complaints, and then can proceed to resolve customer issues and/or complaints in a professional and non-confrontational manner
Responsibilities
- Conduct ticket sale transactions with customers
- Count and match the sales/parking receipts with the supporting documentation and submit it to the lot supervisor at the end of their shift for review
- Keep parking areas clean and orderly and patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage or property theft
- Direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary
- Perform vehicle counts, when required, to ensure garage does not overfill available spaces
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed. Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they have parked
- Lift equipment up to 15lb to open or close parking areas as necessary

- $20 per hour
