Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance & Controls Specialist is a key position within the Home Protection Business Operations & Controls team and will have responsibilities for ensuring our internal workflow processes and established controls meets an established standard of quality. This includes responsibilities for the reliability, usability, and tracking of important internal and external processes required for the successful delivery of products and customer expectations across the full business footprint. The position will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation of tracking and reporting processes, and the supporting framework, to deliver business optimization and transformation.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, build upon, and ensure compliance with new and established quality assurance standards and controls processes for the Home Protection business
  • Carefully maintain compliant and nonconforming processes through records and tracking systems, including identifying the root cause and corrective actions
  • Document quality assurance and controls activities with internal reporting and audits
  • Proactively develop new standards for quality assurance/controls activities with continuous improvement objectives, and create benchmark protocols for compliance across the full business footprint
  • Work with regulatory and licensing entities to ensure all mandated paperwork, payments, and other required documentation to maintain compliance and licensure; develop a process to proactively track when each state requires certain documentation to have all submissions completed and confirmed before deadline
  • Work with Home Protection internal teams on the updating of product and/or partner documentation
  • Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management, and Continuous Improvement personnel
  • Identify training needs and take action to ensure business-wide compliance by working with Learning & Development on the development of necessary materials
  • Be forward-thinking by understanding the cause and effect of activities and steps taken, providing management a view of the necessary process and other workflow changes to mitigate potential problems
  • Take ownership of quality assurance and controls to change initiatives from identification of initial need through to project delivery via established internal governance and controls in collaboration with Continuous Improvement personnel
  • Other duties as required


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a complementary field. Experience may be substituted for education.
  • 4-6 years of proven experience from a similar role, including meticulous record-keeping and tracking
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational actions
  • A ‘Finisher’ taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery, in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm the success
  • Experience with hands-on record-keeping and tracking for multiple entities simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of business leaders, senior managers, and subject matter experts


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working in a geographically distributed team

  • Ability to evaluate data, strategies, and materials to provide recommendations


Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid- Combination of Office/Work at home environment.
  • Travel infrequent, but must be open to supporting in-person events should it be required, based on environmental factors and local and company health guidelines


Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for online video calls for long durations
  • Traveling and associated sitting and lifting
