Position: Food Service Retail Manager
Location: LifeBridge Health Systems, Baltimore

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have openings for a Rock Star Retail Manager who shares our passion for Food and Service. In a busy hospital setting, our Retail Manager ensures the Hospital Café, Coffee Shop and Grab and Go outlets provide AMAZING food and service. This could be a great stepping-stone for an aspiring Food Service Director in an Acute Hospital setting!
Our Retail Manager oversees the Operations and Employee Management in Retail sales from Café, Coffee Shop, and Grab-n-go. Customer Relations is key with strong focus on HOSPITALITY and unexpected service. Must be able to read, write, use simple math, follow and give oral and written instructions.
Retail Management maintains food quality, customer service in a cash handling retail food operation, with front and back of house responsibilities. May assume GM’s responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Requires related experience in retail food service management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ordering and purchasing
- Weekly and month end inventory
- Maintaining a 34.5% food cost
- Develop and oversee the production of café daily menu
- Complete weekly productions prop and pull sheets
- Training and scheduling of café staff
- Maintain quality service and quality food
- Adhere to cash handling procedures for register and safe
- Maintain professional uniform appearance

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
Work Location: One location
