What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Design and develop custom applications, modules, and integrations in ServiceNow to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog, and CMDB to meet specific organizational needs.
- Create and maintain complex workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and ACLs to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow scripts, including but not limited to JavaScript, Jelly scripting, and Glide API scripting.
- Implement and manage data integrations between ServiceNow and other third-party systems, databases, and applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ServiceNow performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to optimize platform performance.
- Stay updated with ServiceNow releases, features, and best practices to propose and implement new functionalities that align with business goals.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the quality and accuracy of developed solutions, performing thorough testing and debugging as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development within the team and assist in the documentation of technical specifications, system architecture, and deployment processes.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- At least five years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful ServiceNow implementations and customizations.
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, modules, and development best practices.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and scripting within the ServiceNow environment and familiarity with REST and SOAP integrations, API development, and data exchange between systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions, along with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
- An active TS//SCI clearance with CI poly preferred or Active TS//SCI clearance with ability to pass a CI poly
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or similar, are a plus.
