Medway Public Schools is looking for an Assistant Director of Community Education for our thriving Community Education department. The Community Education department is responsible for the planning of both school-based and community-based programming for Medway and its surrounding towns.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Works with the director to coordinate and supervise daily operations.

2. Assists in developing and implementing department projects and initiatives, tracks progress goals, and evaluates and improves departmental performance.

3. Researches grant opportunities and oversees timely submissions.

4. Manage grants to ensure compliance and timely submission of any

required reports.

5. Provides guidance and assists in the production of the quarterly

community brochures and school flyers

6. Manages budgetary and other department financial responsibilities.

7. Develops best practices and new approaches to improve quality and

impact of programming.

8. Oversees and evaluates programs; reports on program highlights and

plans and implements program improvements.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

2. Possesses strong time management and organizational skills

3. Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills

4. Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively

5. Exhibits qualities of a creative thinker, necessary for planning the

future development of the department.

6. Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office and familiarity with desktop publishing.

7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Medway, MA 02053: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Preferred)
