Job Summary/Purpose: Under the supervision of the Central Verification Unit Business Operations Coordinator or Revenue Cycle Project Manager, the Central Verification Representative facilitates accurate and timely completion/resolution of eligibility activities within Epic. This role ensures patient insurance information is verified and entered appropriately into the Epic system to promote an “uneventful” and seamless arrival process. This position demonstrates advanced knowledge of insurance and system logic aids in accurate and timely reimbursement of services.
Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma and three years of related experience; or an Associate’s degree and two years related; or a Bachelor’s degree and one year related experience. Epic, call center, medical terminology, Passport and knowledge of health/medical insurance preferred. Typing speed of 25CWPM and computer experience required. Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and guest relations.
