Full Job Description
The Building Maintenance Section seeks a qualified Electrician’s Helper.
The Electrician’s Helper will be responsible for:
- Assists electricians in pulling wires, and testing electrical systems
- Replaces defective light switches, plugs and lighting fixtures
- Check signal systems
- Keeps electricians supplied with materials, tools and supplies
- Cleans working areas, machines, tools and equipment
- Performs routine machine operations
2. At least one and one-half years of full-time satisfactory as an electrician’s helper or apprentice electrician plus relevant education or training in a trade school, technical school or vocational high school approved by a state’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization to make up the equivalent of remaining experience. Six months of acceptable experience will be credited for each year relevant education or training.
