Responsibilities
The Charge Nurse (RN) assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director for Cardiac services. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and educates other nursing personnel to provide and facilitate optimal health care outcomes in accordance with MMH policies and procedures, standards and philosophy. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. Ability to integrate nursing theory into practice using nursing process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. Ability to plan and organize work. Ability to work independently and in teams. Ability to plan, organize and direct the activities of others.
Job Information:
- This opportunity is a day shift full time position charge RN on the MS/Tele/Neuro/Stroke Unit
- $3/hour bedside differential for bedside RNs
- Eligible for sign on bonus: $5000 for RNs with less than 18 months experience; $10,000 for RNs with more than 18 months experience

Qualifications
Graduation from accredited school of nursing
Minimum of one year acute care experience cardiac telemetry.
Current RN licensure in state of Florida
Management experience preferred
BSN preferred
BLS and ACLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment)
