Accounting/Finance Manager

We are seeking a full time Accounting/Finance Manager to oversee the full cycle of accounting duties within a growing department. This position supports the Financial Controller, directly supervises current and future financial support roles, and works closely with clients and lenders. Accounting/Finance Manager Responsibilities:
· Manage and oversee daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
· Assist with the month end closing process, including posting journal entries and analyzing expense accounts
· Process all customer contracts and periodically request funding from customer or lender
· Assist with weekly cash forecasting
· Review multiple bank accounts regularly for discrepancies and transactions not yet accounted for
· Analyze weekly payables and receivables on a timely basis and inquire as needed
· Provide direct supervision and financial training to current and future financial support roles
· Closely review insurances including but not limited to: Property, Builders Risk, General liability, and MEMIC
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Accounting/Finance Manager Skills and Qualifications:
· Sound knowledge of financial and accounting practices, processes, and recordkeeping
· High attention to detail and accuracy, especially in data management
· Maintain a high level of confidentiality
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Advanced skills with business software, such as Microsoft Office
Accounting/Finance Manager Education and Experience:
· Associates degree required, preferably bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance related field
· 2+ years’ experience in accounting or financial department
· Experience with accounting software and databases, especially QuickBooks
