JOB TITLE: Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY: Accountant is responsible for daily, weekly and fiscal period accounting functions including, but not limited to, revenue, accounts receivable, inventory and cost of goods sold. This is a full cycle accounting role from income statement to balance sheet. The selected candidate will uphold the core values of the organization and its mission while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity, product quality and customer service standards.

REPORTS TO: Controller

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

· Actively involved in monthly close process and ensuring close is timely and accurate including booking journal entries and reviewing GL details

· Revenue recognition from eCommerce channels and Consumer Package Goods (CPG)

· Monitor, record and reconcile all cash activity

· Review, analyze, and record fiscal period inventory while analyzing overall impact to company COGS

· Manage and reconcile the AR & Revenue process from our 3rd Party advanced ordering platform

· Perform balance sheet account reconciliations on a period basis, research discrepancies and resolve and record any adjustments

· Duties and responsibilities may change to various functional areas as needed

· Assist in the annual budgeting process for the responsible account categories

· Assist in implementation and roll out of new platforms including NetSuite

· Assist with yearly audit

· Performs other related duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• 2-5 years of experience in full function accounting role
• Strong excel skills with ability to build reports and models
• F&B Retail, eCommerce and CPG experience is a plus
• NetSuite and/or Restaurant 365 experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently, with a team and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that emphasizes accuracy and timeliness
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Technical knowledge of GAAP
• Willingness to jump in and help where needed
• Experience in implementing process and change agent in organization
• Be unafraid to contribute ideas and spark inspiration and action
• Be entrepreneurial in spirit
• Proven ability to be nimble, dynamic, and able to adjust to changing business needs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

· Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, coworkers, and management.

· Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

· Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

• Position requires standing and walking for period of 3-5 hours without a rest break.
• Occasional moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, bending, and reaching overhead may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
