Job Description – IT Specialist
Midtown Manhattan Bank seeks IT Specialist to support all end users and the overall IT function. This position reports to the IT Officer and is responsible for ensuring that all computer hardware and software, as well as networks and servers, work consistently and correctly. Duties will include installing and maintaining programs, configuring networks and databases, and helping end users. This role requires extensive familiarity with IT processes and procedures, effective communication, departmental enhancement, and user support. IT specialists balance enterprise-wide support and enhancement with direct assistance for IT department and users.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the Bank’s Servers and Networks
- Maintain network and workstation security settings and assure all patches are up to date
- Manage Databases
- Provide User Support of hardware and software issues
- Participate in Information Steering Committee meetings
- Assist with the Management of Information Security
- Troubleshoot Systems and Hardware Issues
- Oversee the Bank’s vendor management program
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Manage and maintain phone system
- Administer user permissions on various software including the FIS Horizon Core applications

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
