Strategic Operations Associate (Nationwide Remote)
Position Summary:
The Strategic Operations Associate provides operational workstream management at a designated PHSO client market. The Strategic Operations Associate will also partner with the Vice President, PHSO Market Operations to develop the overall operating plan. As a key member of the Market Operations team, this individual will have an opportunity to put his/her stamp on a growing organization and will be instrumental in creating a scalable, high-quality partnership model responsible for delivering sustainable population health outcomes in collaboration with health systems, payers, and providers
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Market Operations team as it relates to execution of assigned operational workstreams (Provider Engagement, Care Management, etc.)
- Contribute to the development of the client operating plan and participate in relevant solutioning efforts to address any identified gaps
- Develop, maintain, and track execution of the project plan needed to implement the annual operating plan
- Facilitate internal account governance, especially management team meetings
- Participate in key client meetings, including payer operating committees and provider performance meetings. Own and develop operational relationships with the client.
- Drive the successful planning and execution of special projects and initiatives in the account, as assigned by the VP, Market Operations
- Provide support to the Vice President, Market Operations and Analytics team to develop of operational and performance reporting
- Develop fluency in all aspects of the Lumeris model, including Provider Engagement, Care Delivery, Technology and Analytics, and Network Development
- Keep abreast of current industry, market and policy landscape. Develop subject matter expertise in one or more of the aforementioned areas.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for improvement of our overall operating model
- Participate in cross-market discussions to identify opportunities to deploy or export newly identified best practices
Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. and MBA or MHA preferred from a highly regarded institution of higher learning
- 3+ years of client facing experience within the healthcare domain
- 3+ years of experience working with health systems in strategy, operations, or finance
- Demonstrated knowledge in any of the following areas: Medicare Advantage, Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), Managed Medicaid and DSRIP, Commercial HIX, managed care regulations, quality reporting, care management, population management, ACO strategy implementation and operations, and supporting providers in risk-based contracts
- Strategic and entrepreneurial outlook with strong collaboration skills
- Ability to operate independently
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Team player, excellent communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system
- Exceptional client-facing skills
